Q. I am trying to grow tomatoes upside down in a hanging pot on my patio. I fear that I may be giving them too much water. How can I tell if they are drowning or not getting enough water.
A. If they are drowning they will die very quickly. If they are not getting enough water the color will be darker, the leaves will start curling up, and the leaf edges will turn brown, the plant will wilt, and will die.
The likelihood is greater that you are under watering than over watering.
