I read that the Weekly Fertilizer should be applied once a week. However, according to a table titled “Suggested Fertilizer Applications” on the web-site, it says that tomatoes need 7 applications and squash need only 5. What does this mean?

You should apply the recommended amount of fertilizer once per week, down the middle of the bed between the rows of plants, and water it in. For plants that produce one crop, such as cabbage, 4 or 5 weekly feedings is sufficient. For crops that continue to produce for many weeks or months, such as tomatoes, you feed them much longer, in order to keep them producing at their peak capacity.
